High School Football in the south is almost a religion. This year’s 5-AAAAA Georgia State Championship game was played tonight between two local Metro Atlanta High Schools. Roswell High School, a perenial powerhouse, and Peachtree Ridge High School, founded just over four years ago, played to a 14-14 tie. Georgia High School football rules do not allow for any type of overtime or tie breaker. While it is fairly certain that the players would have liked to settle this on the feild, perhaps it may be better to be co-champions and share the distinction. Congratulations go out to Peachtree Ridge High School and Roswell High School football programs. You are “Champions”.
