Buying My First Home - Dream Or Nightmare
February 26, 2007 | 1 Comment
For many people buying their first home is a dream. Unfortunately it can also be a nightmare. Finding the right home is the easy part of the equation. The contracts and negotiations along with the legal ramifications create the uncomfortable part of the transaction for many buyers. To help take away a lot of the confusion a prospective buyer should seek the help of a qualified REALTOR for representation, education and assistance.
Tracy Duke felt this way, that is until she started working with RE/MAX Around Atlanta agents Mack Perry and Diane Jordan. In a little over a month Tracy found her new home, got approved for a mortgage and has now moved in and is no longer paying someone else’s mortgage in the form of rent. Congratulations Tracy!

Talk about Loving Atlanta Living, last night was one of the most rewarding nights any person could hope for. At 9:25 PM EST William Lincoln “Linc” Perry came into this world. He weighed in at 6lbs. 5oz. and was 18 in. tall. While this is not big by some standards, he is huge in our eyes. Mother, father and baby are all doing well. All 4 grandparents on the other hand are way too excited and may require medical attention.
Please join us in welcoming “Linc”!!! ![]()

As we all go through life, every now and then, unexpected honors are bestowed on us. This just happened to me. Several weeks ago I received a call from Advanced Access wanting to set up a time to interview me about being their Featured Client for the month of February. After scheduling the interview I went to the client spotlight section of their site and observed the other recipients of this honor. What an impressive group to be included in! My thanks go out to Advanced Access for thinking of me and my site for this high honor.

Easy Remodeling Project
February 9, 2007 | Leave a Comment
How about a quick, easy and inexpensive remodeling project? Look around you home for dirty or soiled HVAC registers and air returns. Replacing them is very easy and fortunately, inexpensive. Just measure the size of the opening to obtain the replacement size that you need. Pay a visit to your favorite home improvement store such as Home Depot or Lowe’s and pick up the replacements. In a very short time you will see a cleaner more appealing appearance of the areas replaced. To make this project even easier use a portable drill to remove and replace the screws that hold the registers in. When painting a room go ahead and replace the registers to make the entire room look clean and fresh.
Do you have any quick and easy home remodeling projects that you would like to share? Feel free to add them in the comments section below.

The classes teach everything from how to prepare for a listing appointment to time and budget management along with goal setting. The best part is attendees learn how to acheive their goals, with most exceeding their quarterly objective during the program.

Georgia Navigator

With this mornings weather conditions it seems logical to include information about road conditions and closures. We are fortunate in Georgia to have a Department of Transportation that keeps us informed. About 10 years ago the Georgia DOT instituted a website called Georgia Navigator. This site provides visitors with current construction project information, state and federal highway information and road conditions.
One of the services provided on the site is the ability for visitors to view actual real time traffic and road conditions via traffic cameras. To view an area that interest you just click on the link at the top of the page, and then scroll down to the actual camera you would like to view.
Of course using the site can be valuable during adverse weather conditions; however you can also obtain useful information when planning a trip on Georgia roads.
Winter Visits Atlanta
February 1, 2007 | Leave a Comment
For those who may not know, Atlanta experiences all 4 seasons. Recently temperatures have dipped into the high teens and lower 20’s at night. Winter weather decided to pay the metro area a visit overnight. Yes it is here; freezing rain, sleet and a few light snow flurries.
While the weather gurus do not expect a large accumulation, driving conditions will be somewhat hazardous. If you have to get out today, be cautious especially on the bridges and overpasses. Be safe.
