Check out the Alexander Park Master Plan link above. It shows that the paved trail is aprox 1.5 miles long. It is a very nice walking trail and has been utilized virtually every day since the park opened. I even saw some people walking yesterday in the misting rain. Hi Patrick. We loved the play are but.....it would have been even better if I didn't have to chase two kids (12 months and 3 1/2yrs) going every which way. It was hard to keep an eye on each of them around all the climbing toys. It's hard to see around them. Several moms were freaking out about the fake mountain top! The fear of broken arms with a fall was great. A fenced in play area would have been more relaxing for the moms! And a fence separating the two areas will also be great. That way the younger ones could not get to the mountain top! We visited the park with the Snellville mothers group. And in regards to the Skate Park concern - kids are doing illegal things in your neighborhood already, make no illusion. Skate Parks give kids a place to enjoy a unique sport in a place away from the streets, cars, and and trouble. I've been skating for years and the parks are the places least likely to see "illegal things" happening - because there's always a lot of people there and police keep good tabs on it at night.
