The Week Before Christmas
December 17, 2007 | 1 Comment
Twas the week before Christmas and the search engines were slow, shoppers were searching for places to spend their dough.
With mom on her laptop and me on the pc, we knew that the family would be happy as could be.
On VISA, on MASTERCARD, on AMEX we spend, will this internet shopping spree ever come to an end.
Email accounts were totally ablaze, Credit Card companies wanting our limits to raise.
Overnight deliveries are now the only way, UPS and FedEx the dividends they will pay.
Now it’s all ordered and we have time to think, Oh what the heck I’m just going to have a drink.
We will get it all wrapped, some how, some way, And my wish for you is a wonderful Christmas Day.

Today has been filled with the last minute details for the big day tommorrow. Helping my wife get the caseroles for the Christmas dinner put together, getting the tags on all the presents that finally got wrapped and of course visiting with friends and neighbors.
Tommorrow we will be entertaining and spending the day with family. Our son and daughter-in-law will be here for brunch and then opening gifts. Later in the afternoon my sister and brother-in-law will be joining us for Christmas dinner and the second round of gifts.
My wish to all that may read this is that you have a wonderful and Merry Christmas Day.
Amazing Holiday Light Displays

As you are rushing around finishing up the holiday shopping you see more and more holiday decorations on homes, shopping centers and office buildings. This all adds to the festive feeling of the season. There are three professionally prepared light displays in the Atlanta area that will almost take your breath away. Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Stone Mountain Park in Stone Mountain, and Lake Lanier Islands at Lake Lanier all present some of the most beautiful holiday light displays ever assembled.
Any one of the three would make a highlight to your hoilday season.
The Christmas Tree - Your Memory Lane
December 9, 2006 | 4 Comments
Over the years our family has collected christmas ornaments from various destinations that we have traveled too. Family and friends, upon learning of our collection, have elected to add to it. As we decorated the tree this week we once again found that we were taking a trip down memory lane.
When the “Babies First Christmas” ball went on the tree we remembered how excited we were when our son was born. He was born over 28 years ago. I feel certain that next Christmas we will be presenting he and his wife with a similar ornament as they are expecting their first child in February.
Collecting ornaments is actually easy. There are very few travel destination that don’t have some kind ornament. We have found them on cruise ships, ports of call and at every resort that we have visited.
Think about how entertaining decorating the tree can be as you travel down your memory lane with ornaments as your guide. The only downside to this is that decorating the tree can take additional time. Currently we have collected over 600 unique ornaments and getting them on the tree takes about 5 hours. But it is good quality family time.
Enjoy the Holidays.
