Atlanta Home Automation

Home automation and home technology can take on many forms ranging from security systems to media rooms to wireless networks to lighting solutions and the list goes on. The most important component for the technology to be utilized in your smart home is your vision of what you would like to accomplish. From this point you should meet with and discuss your needs with a qualified company who can fulfill your desires. In the Atlanta area we are fortunate to have Link Your House, Inc., a locally owned company that specializes in home automation and helping you design your virtual home.

Recently I had the privilege of working with Link Your House, Inc. on a project for one of my clients. The aspect that impressed me the most was not their ability to perform all kinds of innovative procedures, but their ability and desire to educate my client and myself with the various aspects of home automation and technology. The desires of my client were addressed and I witnessed Link Your House, Inc. employees examining every way possible to accomplish the tasks while remaining as uninvasive as possible to this newly constructed home. The basement was in the process of being finished and the drywall had not yet been installed, so the installation of wiring there would be fairly simple. The upper two floors of the home were completely finished so this took more thought, preparation and planning.

The wiring for the upper levels was routed through an exhaust chase that goes from the basement to the roof. This facilitated in keeping the need to cut sheetrock to a minimum. All of the wiring for the top floor could be routed through the chase then dropped down from the attic and attached into the wall at its desired location. If your home is already built it is very helpful to have a set of the plans available for locating the chase.

The automation products in this home are fairly extensive and include some very innovative devices. One of the most interesting is touch screen panels for controlling everything from security, temperature, phone access, lighting, audio, irrigation, pool and the entire system can even be accessed via the internet from remote locations.

If you are looking to add any degree of home automation to your home make certain to give plenty of thought to what you want to accomplish. With the products available in today´s market you should be able to accomplish just about anything.
