For the first time in over 4 years Lake Lanier has reached full pool. When measured at midnight last night the water level in Lake Lanier reached 1071.17 feet above sea level or .17 feet above full pool.

In November of 2007 when I first wrote about the water level in Lake Lanier, the lake was down almost 18 feet from full pool. At that time water restrictions could be found in every city and county in Greater Atlanta. Now that we have reached full pool we need to continue with our water conservation measures and hopefully avoid future restrictions.

Not for long. Doesn’t all that water really belong to Alabama and Florida? To listen to their state governments we should drain it right back out and send it to them. Should we use FedEx, UPS, or DHL?

I say we send it down all at once, for the clams sake. At least the previous “pasture properties” in Forsyth will have a couple months of lake usage.

As of midnight last night the lake was .45 feet over full pool. Why don’t we just send that .45 ft down all at one time?
