Take a look at some of the comments at the above web site regarding a credit for missing our trash pick up. Very interseting. Most as you can see are not in favor of the plan.

We live on the edge of a city and our neighbored cut a deal with the same company that serviced the city. About 100 homes for less than$13. They provided the service on the same day as the city. Now we pay more and get ‘lip service’ from the county. It looks like they are trying to protect the haulers. Instead of 2 trucks coming through our area we have 4 and not on the same day. No one on our street does recyling because they do not take all recycle items that are in the bin and throw them on the ground next to the container. Paper plates some Christmas wrappings are scattered around our area.

It is however put together with some hearsay, and information from a knowledgeable person who does not want to be “public”

The actual value of the property was about 3 million or less due to many issue, including the flood plain, It was offered for about $7 million, and that deal was somehow jettisoned, only to come back to the county for $14,million.

Don’t you think the BOC as a whole had some idea of the “conspiracy”?
Was it responsible gov’t that allowed these 2 thieves among them, to pull this off, and keep operating county Gov’t
Should a BOC member who may claim to be uninvolved ; not have stepped forward at some point, Or asked enough questions, and in fact if they are voting on land issues as such ; done some due diligence on property values, even asked for additional appraisal and some comparison shopping.

Questioned the steep increase in price?

I still want to know who thought a waste transfer station there was so important, any Bannister was such a promoter.

Should he have been allowed to virtually walk away from all this without as much as a probation.

As icing on the cake he announced his FORCED resignation due to extreme pressure and health, A kind of Final lie to the Citizens., at least a severe twist of the real reason

We are in fact becoming a Clayton, Fulton and Dekalb.
I wish we could be real watchdogs of what goes on around and about the G C Jand A Center, but the players know that is very difficult for folks having to make a living

Your government official should basically have fear of the citizens they represent, not the other way around.

The only fear they have now days is how to avoid getting caught and it rarely happens.

Do you think Charles Bannister knew about the developer that had that land? Good question that we will never know about.

But then again what do we expect for a bargain $130,000,trash study.

I was under the impression the transfer station went thru, maybe someone out there knows.

As for the property that was supposed to be the new transfer station on I-85. Thought we read that this property was sold to the church next door. Not sure on this but would like to know.
